DAY
01 : ARRIVE DELHI Upon arrival in Delhi, meeting/assistance at the
airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Delhi, the
capital of India, stands on the western bank of the River Yamuna. Hemmed in
by the states of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, the diverse cultural elements
absorbed into the daily life of the city have enriched its character.
Exploring the city can be a fascinating and rewarding experience. The Red
Fort, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Qutub Minar and India Gate occupy pride of place
here. Other prominent historical monuments include the Jama Masjid,
Safdarjung Museum, Diwan-i-am, Diwan-i-khas, Jantar Mantar and the Lotus
temple.
DAY 02 : DELHI- JAIPUR Morning at
08.30 hrs. after breakfast proceed for city tour of Delhi visiting Red Fort-
massive fort built in 1648 by Mughal emperor Shahjahan, Jama Mosque,
Rajghat-cremation place of Mahatama Gandhi, Humanyuns Tomb, Qutub Minar,
India Gate, President house etc and after lunch direct drive to Jaipur by
Airconditioned Luxury Bus. On arrival in Jaipur checkin at hotel Clarks Amer
(5*) for dinner and overnight stay.
Jaipur, called the Pink city
because most of its buildings are of sandstone, was chosen by Maharaja Sawai
Jai Singh II (1693-1743) for his capital. It still is the vibrant capital of
the desert state of Rajasthan and a major attraction for the first-time
visitor.
DAY 03: JAIPUR- AGRA Morning after
breakfast at 08.30 hrs. excursion to Amber fort- Ancient capital of Jaipur
state, this fort is a superb example of Rajput architecture, stunningly
situated on a hillside and overlooking a lake which reflects its terraces
and ramparts. Ride up on elephant to the fort. After Lunch proceed for half
day city tour of Jaipur visit City palace musuem, Observatory, Palace of
Winds or Hawa Mahal constructed in 1799, is one of the Jaipur's major
landmarks. etc. Dinner and overnight stay at hotell.
DAY 04 :
JAIPUR-FATEHPUR SIKRI-AGRA Morning after breakfast at 08.00 hrs.
drive to Agra enroute visiting Fatehpur sikri- This fortified ghost city was
the capital of the Mughal emperor Akbar. Fatehpur sikri was thereafter
quickly abondoned. On arrival in Agra checkin at hotel The Trident.
Afternoon visit Taj Mahal truly is one of the wonders of the world. The Taj
Mahal is a monument of love built by the Mughal Emperor Shahjehan in 1630
for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. For twenty two
years 20,000 men labored day and night to build this masterpiece which has
held the world awe struck ever since. & Agra Fort - Shah Jehan was
imprisoned by his son in the magnificent fort at Agra. Overnight stay hotel.
DAY 05 : AGRA - DELHI Breakfast at the hotel and drive
back to Delhi. Lunch in Delhi and free time for last minute shopping.
Evening transfer to airport to connect Flight to back home.
