Day 01 : Arrive Chennai (Madras)
Erco Travels brings the South India Exotic Tour to give its visitors a taste of exotic south India. A warm welcome awaits you upon your arrival at the Chennai airport. You will then be transferred to the hotel by Erco Travels’ representatives. The rest of the day is off so relax in the hotel.
Day 02 : Chennai
Chennai, with its rich history and sandy beaches, is an interesting place to see and explore. On the guided tour of Chennai, visit the Marina Beach, Fort St. George, Kapaleeshwarar temple and Parthasarathy Temple. Visit the local markets in the evening for shopping. Return to the hotel for spending the night.
Day 03 : Chennai-Bangalore
Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka, is the next destination of this tour. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the railway station to board the next train to Bangalore. Upon arrival in Bangalore, proceed to the hotel for refreshing. Then, take an afternoon tour to visit the Lalbagh botanical Garden. Get back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 04 : Bangalore
On a day tour of Bangalore, you can visit the Tipu Sultan's Palace, Vidhana Soudha and Bangalore Palace. The remaining day after lunch is free for leisure activities. Overnight stay will be in the hotel.
Day 05 : Bangalore-Mysore
After having your breakfast in the hotel, depart for Mysore on a three-hour drive. On the way to Mysore, make a stop at Srirangapatna, which is a place of historical importance. Continue your journey afterwards. Arrive in Mysore and transfer to the hotel for refreshing. Take a day tour of Mysore and visit the Mysore Palace and Chamundeshwari Temple. Enjoy a British style tea at Lalit Mahal Palace in the evening. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 06 : Mysore-Ooty
Ooty is a popular hill-station in south India. Take a road-trip to Ooty in the morning (3 hour drive). Arrive in Ooty and proceed to the hotel for relaxing. Rest of the day is free to explore the beautiful valleys of Ooty.
Day 07 : Ooty
After the breakfast, the day is free for leisure and personal activities. Key places for sightseeing are the Government Rose Garden and Ooty Botanical Gardens.
Day 08 : Ooty-Cochin
Have an early-morning breakfast and afterwards, proceed to Cochin by surface. After a long five-hour drive, arrive in Cochin and proceed straight to the hotel for refreshing. You can visit the Santacruz Basilica and Dutch Palace in the evening. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 09 : Cochin-Alleppey-Periyar
After breakfast, take a short one-hour drive to Alleppey, which is famous for its calm and relaxing backwaters. Check-in a houseboat upon arrival and cruise through the backwaters of Alleppey. After lunch, drive to Periyar (3 hours drive). Arrive in Periyar and proceed to the hotel for refreshing. Enjoy an evening boat cruise in the Periyar Lake. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 10 : Periyar-Madurai
Take a morning jungle safari in Periyar National Park. Afterwards, proceed to Madurai by surface. Madurai is the third-largest city in Tamil Nadu. Arrive in Madurai and check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Stay in the hotel for the night.
Day 11 : Madurai
Begin a day tour of the city to visit the famous Meenakshi Temple, Koodal Alagar Temple and Thiruparankundram temple. Evening is free for strolling around the local markets and other leisure activities.
Day 12 : Day 12 : Madurai-Trichy-Tanjore
Enjoy your breakfast in the hotel. Afterwards, proceed to Trichy by surface (one-hour drive). Trichy is also known as Tiruchirappalli is famous for its ancient temples and religious buildings. You can visit the Rockfort Temple, Sri Ranganathaswamy temple and Jambukeshwara Temple on a day tour. After lunch, proceed to Tanjore, which is also known as Thanjavur. Arrive in Tanjore and take an afternoon tour of Brihadishwara Temple. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 13 : Tanjore-Mahabalipuram
After the breakfast, it is time to move to Mahabalipuram. After a five-hour drive, arrive in Mahabalipuram and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Visit the Shore Temple in the evening and Krishna's Butter Ball. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 14 :Mahabalipuram-Kanchipuram
Drive to Kanchipuram in the morning (one-hour drive). Kanchipuram is also known as Kanchi and is famous for its ancient temples and silk saris. Return to Mahabalipuram in the evening and spend the night in the hotel.
Day 15 : Mahabalipuram-Chennai Depart
On the final day of the tour, depart from the hotel and drive to Chennai in the morning. Arrive in Chennai and proceed straight to the airport. Board the next flight back to the home country. Thank you for choosing Erco Travels as your south India tour operator.
